Project Update January 2009

Much has happened since the last update. The church is, as we reported, now revealed inside and out: the beauty of the stone restoration is evident and the new clear window glass (made using techniques employed in the 1720's) allows light to flood into the building. The new underground spaces are busier every day - the public is flocking to the Café in the Crypt and Brass Rubbing Centre and local businesses are hiring the meeting facilities. The new entrance pavilion and light-well are complete and, on 14th October, the Mayor of Westminster officially opened Church Path. Work on the church yard to the east is nearing completion.
